The perfect bunny


All bunnies are cute and cuddly but which one would live happily and healthy in your home. The right bunny might be right in front of you and you wouldn't now it. Here are some tips to find the perfect bunny.

~Look in the bunny eyes 
bright sparkling eyes = healthy happy bunny
Dull eyes with mucus or anything else = tired or unhealthy bunny (ignore these bunnies)

~ Observe the ears
Look for clean ears that are also velvety 
Bunnies with unclean ears may have mites
(mites shorten a bunny's lifespan)

~ The fur
It should be thick and clean 
If they are not clean and thick they may have a skin infection

~Checking the feces (poop)
they should be compacted and dry
wet and loose = diarrhea 
(which is a dangerous condition)

~ watch the bunny's behavior
It should be active 
if not and ignores you = unhealthy

Take to vet for a health exam

Bunnies can have rabies so take to the local vet immediately
  

What you will need for a bunny





























Owning a bunny can be lots of fun. They are social creatures and need to be loved everyday. They need their cage cleaned every week or so. A bunny needs its bedding to be cleaned once a week if she or he is not litter trained. Bunnies need a fresh bowl of food everyday. There are also many other items that a bunny needs in their life to stay healthy.
  What you will need to get (basics):
  • ~a cage (bigger than 3 hops of a bunny)
  • ~Timothy hay (an important part of a bunny's diet)
  • ~Pellets 
  • ~Chew toys (to keep your bunny's teeth healthy)
  • ~Water bowl/ water bottle
  • ~bedding 
  • ~bunny nail clipper ( clip its nail so you won't get scratched)                                                                                                   
  • Optional:
  • ~Bunny emergency kit
  • ~carrier 
  • ~litter box
  • ~treats (fresh veggies are a great treat)
  • ~toys
